This Rolex Datejust is a classic vintage two-tone model, combining stainless steel with 18k yellow gold. It features the reliable Rolex calibre 3035 with the convenience of a quickset date function, alongside a desirable champagne Buckley dial with black Roman numerals. Unlike the more commonly seen black hands found on Buckley dials, this example is fitted with period-correct champagne hands, giving the dial a cleaner, more refined appearance. The "Buckley" nickname was created after New York watch dealer John Buckley, who helped popularise these painted Roman numeral dials.
